The owner, Markus, has experimented with design since his childhood. 

He worked on big projects for a worldwide company for several years, he always liked Design in all its facets.

However the main inspiration for spats project became reality in 2010, when Markus needed to find a beatiful gift for his beautiful girlfriend's birthday. He remembered that once, in London, they saw some ancient spats on a market and she told him that they were a very cool garments. 

Markus had his idea for the gift!

Tried to find out some spat's manufacturer around the world but after many unsuccessful searches nothing seemed to match his girlfriends personality or style.

And... a thought continuously turn around his mind, "I can do it by myself! I can select the right fabrics and sewn by myself!"

Gray cotton canetè fabric, and red, purple, pink and white pinstripes on a black background pair of spats were the end result for the gift, and his girlfriend was overjoyed. 

And that was what you might call the first emar's spats. 

The number one pair, clearly priceless...

After a while, one of his girlfriend's friends, once saw the spats worn, asked him to make pair of spats for her. Then, another friend that saw the spats, asked for a pair. Then again!  And here we are...

...Telling the truth this is only the idea, the seed, because you have to know that in order to begin the production, an insane amount of work was necessary to make it happen. 

Spats model contruction, product design, design application, fabrics researches, and fabrics selection, website development, graphic development, legal stuff and so on, but with hard work, some fun, a lot of professionalism, Marco with an amazing team were able to make emar-design.com a reality.
